General Transport Information

We’re not really far away from Wellington or Nelson! Your accommodation provider will be the best person to advise you on the best form of transport to get to your desired destination. Here’s some ideas on just how easy it is to visit us.

How to travel here: By Air:

There are airports at Blenheim and Nelson, plus a small one at Picton (Koromiko). Helicopters can be chartered to fly you directly to your destination or just for a scenic flight. There are also small airfields scattered within our area.

By Sea:

Ferries cross the Cook Straits 7 days a week and offer a chance to get a cruise as well as get to to accross to the South Island.

By Road:

Rental cars, motor homes and camper vans, private vehicles, motorbikes and cycles are popular means of getting into those hidden places.

Inter Islander and Blue Bridge sail daily between Wellington & Picton.
