Pelorus River Horses Ranch House is a self-contained modern apartment that is situated in the centre of a working horse farm. Situated midway Blenheim/Nelson on State Highway 6, it is an ideal base for exploring our beautiful provinces of Marlborough and Nelson Bays.We are also close to Havelock (7 minutes) the Mussel Capital of the World where you will find great restaurants, Mail Boat outings through the Pelorus Sounds and access to many other activity based operations. (like taking a walk followed by a coffee at the stunning Pelorus Bridge Reserve, which is 2 Km up the road).The Ranch House sleeps 4 comfortably and is rented as a whole unit on a per night basis. It has a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, Sky TV, Free Laundry with dryer, BBQ area, private parking, heat pump and air conditioning and an ensuited double bedroom with queen size bed.There is also a double bath-house for soaking with great views, after a long afternoons horse riding.Roz has outfitted The Ranch House with every conceivable item that a traveller may find they need while away from home and then there‘s Roz‘s Shop, a veritable Aladdins Cave full of gifts and jewellery from local, New Zealand and international artists. A great place to spend an hour or two (or a dollar or two) on a lazy afternoon. Shopping is by appointment only, so you will most likely have the shop to yourself!A short walk, through a highway underpass, takes you and your horse to a most wonderful river path that has riverside trails and sand bottom pools that let you swim (with or without your horse, as you wish) or should you enjoy trout fishing, you will find the Pelorus river well stocked.Our aim is to allow you to have a private affair with our beautiful valley and enjoy the wonderful sights and sounds we enjoy.
