Enjoy the surroundings and solitude of Nydia Bay with friends and family. You can reach the lodge by walking the Nydia Track, arriving by the Pelorus Mail boat on Tuesdays, water taxis from Havelock or your own boat. A generator provides electricity for lighting and fridges while gas provides hot water. A well equipped kitchen is provided for self catering.
The lodge can accommodate up to 50 people, but several smaller groups can be accommodated at the same time by the allocation of some of the 9 bunk rooms. Wheel chair access is available to all service buildings and one accommodation block.
Bunk rooms have mattresses and Pillows. Kitchen has cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils.
Minimum Charge is $60.00 per night. Adults $15.00 per night, Children $8.00 per night, under 5 year old free.
The Lodge, being in Nydia Bay is a logical place to spend the night on the two day Nydia Track. Access to Nydia Track is from Havelock at the southern end or turn off at Rai Valley for the northern end in Tennyson Inlet.
Fishing and swimming is possible close to the lodge. For those with their own boat it is a good base for fishing further afield. A permit to hunt on the public land is available but care must be taken not to trespass on to private land.
